Do you have an accounting company or just a job where you are the most busy employee?
Many accountants are exceptional in what they do: I know taxation, financial optimization, legislation. But when it comes to Commercial activityMany are trapped in a trap: they work hard, but I don’t see clearly where the money goes, which services are profitable and how they can resize their company.
📌 If you have the impression of working a lot, but you grow too little, it’s time to look at your company.
Have you ever had the feeling that:
❌ Although you have many customers, the profit does not increase proportionally?
❌ Some services consume you a lot of time, but aren’t they done correctly?
❌ Customers don’t understand why they should pay more for additional advice or services?
If so, you are not alone. Most accounting companies are trapped in a business model that works “on the volume”, but without real control over profitability.
The classic model against the intelligent business model
🎯 The classic accounting model:
🔸 You have a standard service package and charged one month for all customers.
🔸 Most of your time is consumed by emergencies, deadlines and “fire extinction”.
🔸 Do you think that if you take more customers, you will do more money, but actually only work more.
🚀 The intelligent business model:
✅ Identify clearly What services bring you most of the money And what services are only “wasted time”.
✅ Structure of your customers by categories so that the great to be paid for the true value they offer.
✅ Your service packages are clearly differentiated e Consultancy and your skills are charged separately, not included “packaging”.
Specific example: where do you lose money without realizing it?
Suppose we have two customers:
🔹 Customer to: It has a small company, with 3 employees. He only asks you to record documents and tax returns. He pays 700 she a month and rarely asks questions.
🔹 Customer B: It has a distribution company, with 25 employees. He calls you 3 times a week for “clarifications”. He asks you for help for the calculation of wages, the analysis of the cash flow and tax suggestions. Pay 1000 you per month.
Who consumes more time?
Who brings you more profit?
❌ If both pay almost the same, but one consumes 5 times more, you have a business model problem.
🔹 The solution? Regulation of service packages and clarify the value they offer.
Why do some accountants earn more by working less?
📌 Because clarifies its business model.
They are not only based on “standard accounting”, but offers well -structured packages, tax skills, advice and premium services.
💡 What can you do today to get more control over your business?
✅ Calculate how long every customer consumes you. If you have a customer who pays much less than the time invested, it is time for a tariff discussion.
✅ Group customers by categories. Not all customers are the same. Segifical and regulates prices based on the complexity of the work.
✅ Clarification of the “free” services that you offer. Each call, every analysis of the cash flow, each relationship is work. Either tax or delete it.

Episode themes 2
✅ Analyze your customers and profitability: Create a table with all your customers and note:
– How long do you spend a month for everyone?
– How much do I pay for you?
– Which services offered to consume you longer and are not well paid?
What do you notice? Where could you adapt the rates or optimize the work?
Scenario: Imagine having too many requests and you have to choose 10% of customers who significantly require more than the rate they pay
-would you act a fee proportional to the effort you make, even with the risk that some of them no longer work with you?
– How could you get a fare that reflects the effort made by you?
I am not a fan of a strategy to lose customers, I prefer to try to monetize and if they want to leave, the decision will be them.
