Procedures and their importance in a company

In the frantic business world, the procedures are like the map that guides your team to success. Regardless of the size or domain of your activity, the well -consolidated procedures are the key to efficiency and consistency

“The water is wet” or on the usefulness of the procedures in a small company.

“But we don’t need procedures that we know what we have to do!”

This is the reason why they are essential, so you can follow them that you are doing them correctly and completely.

And the aircraft drivers know what to do and yet they are with the procedures in front of when they act.

“We don’t need procedures that the boss tells us what to do.”

And then it all depends on the entrepreneur and the blockage in the development of companies is the person of the entrepreneur.

“We don’t want to use the procedures, which we want to be free and creative and the procedures limit us what we do and how we do.”

It is as if I said that you cannot be creative or free when you are given a recipe for food, if it does not invent you to improvise the seasoning of the spices.

On the other hand, knowing that what you have done is correct and precious, is one of the ingredients for freedom at work.

“I don’t want to draw procedures in their own company, which people leave and therefore are stressed by what they have to do.”

OR“We don’t have time to do procedures, which we have to work”

This is like on the bench with the 2 wooden cutters: a cut constantly, so as not to waste time, and the other had pauses and secretly denied his ax.

The result was that what was worried about “a procedure” had better results.

I don’t know if I have covered all the objections, but one thing is certain: when you have procedures and defined your quality of work, things become clear, transparent and predictable.

And the result is generally that the people who appreciate these things will be even more involved, that what they have to do will be clearer and what the benefits are.

And those who do not appreciate them will be detected immediately when they are no longer involved because … it will be clear to them what to do and what the benefits are! 😆

But in the end, if you wanted an excessive bureaucracy and a lack of transparency, you probably did not choose you, your colleagues a private job!

Having procedures is not enough.

People need training on procedures (preferably interactive that can be recorded and resumed).

So they need a few rounds of checks.

So the procedure is delegated and very important: the request for help in case of difficulty.

Quarterly, the sessions can therefore be set to continuously improve existing procedures.

I know the people who perform their holiday luggage procedures, they thought once and then they are continuously reused.
